Provide a brief description of your company and the products?

We have something for everyone. From our great product line for organizing and decorating your home in style to our fun and festive holiday items, all our products are designed to be versatile and functional. Our Signature Collection baskets and Classic Collection sets can even help you conquer clutter and get organized in style. Our Representatives earn great money and have a wonderful time at home parties helping people create their own Signature style!

Provide a brief company history including how long in business and how many consultants in how many countries.

We are a 6 year old brand that is operated by a 41 year old woman-owned and debt-free company based in the Chicago area. We have over 10,000 representatives in US and Canada.

Our founder, Madolyn Johnson wanted to stay at home with her young daughter and still contribute financially to her family. At first Madolyn held Shows in the homes of family and friends showcasing her affordable line of organizing and decorating essentials. Before long Madolyn was doing Shows all over the Chicago area and was doing her home Shows for her friend’s friends.

As Madolyn grew her company, she learned that there were other women who too wanted to make some extra money, but still give their families first priority. She wanted to help others make a difference..one home at a time without giving up their family priorities. Soon her company grew from a one-woman operation to hundreds of Signature HomeStyles sales representatives. Today, more than 10,000 representatives who have joined this multimillion-dollar international company continue Madolyn’s mission to make a difference…one home at a time.

What is the cost to start up? What comes in the startup kit?

Our Show Case is valued at over $575 and costs only $169! Included are 15 of our top selling organizational and decor items (that are easily carried in the Classic Cube included in the Show Case), plus training materials and the supplies you’ll need to you first few Shows. We also have a $99 Show Case that is valued at over $400.

Are there any additional expenses (startup, yearly renewal, website, etc)?

There are no hidden fees — no renewals, no service fees, no order processing fees! Our great host plan is fully paid by the company.

We do offer personal web pages as an option for representatives to market their business. The first month is free, followed by a $12 per month fee.

How much is the commission on personal sales and downline? How often are consultants paid?

Our base commission is 25% of retail sales. A monthly bonus of 2% - 5% can be earned when monthly sales are above $2000. Weekly Commissions are paid the week following the shipment of the show. Overrides of 2%-3% are earned by Representatives beginning with their first recruit! Overrides of up to 5% are paid to Leaders. Plus, new Leaders can earn an additional 5% bonus on their personal sales.

What are some of the additional benefits/rewards consultants can earn?

In the first three months a new representative can earn a wide array of products, supplies, and business accessories. We offer beautiful jewelry, furniture awards, and other incentives through both an annual awards program and monthly promotions. We offer very achievable incentive vacations — we are currently completing a program for a family cruise and will be starting a new program in January.

What is your favorite thing about your company?

The best part of Signature HomeStyles is the variety — we have products at a wide range of prices (as low as $6 up to as high as $230) and in a wide range of styles (from Country to Traditional to Casual). There’s something for everyone’s taste and for everyone’s budget.

Likewise, we have a wide range of representatives — from those doing the business to add a few products to their homes and a few dollars to their wallets, to leaders expanding their organizations across the country and earning six figure incomes.

What is your favorite product?

With over 500 products in the line, it’s really hard to pick just one, but I’d have to say that our Wall Wizard system is something you can’t find elsewhere. This system won the 2006 Best New Product of the Year at the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business. With Wall Wizards you can easily fill any size wall with a coordinated and great look incorporating family photos, mementos, mirrors, and artwork.
