Scent-Sations is based in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The company was started by Bobby Scocozzo (CEO) and Charlie Umphred (VP) after Bobby sampled a home made candle by Carmen and Lynn Milazzo during a fundraiser for their children’s sports team. Bobby loved the candle and the fact that it was made with all natural, replenishable vegetable wax.
Scent-Sations was formed in 2002 and is totally debt free and GROWING by leaps and bounds!
Provide a brief description of the products
Mia Bella candles - 16 oz. jars and 2.5 oz votives - made with vegetable and palm waxes so they are eco-friendly and burn virtually soot free. The candles feature 100% cotton wicks; the jars have double wicks for a more even burn. A 16 oz. jar has a burn time of approximately 100-120 hours and if centrally located, will fragrance approximately 2,500 square feet.
We also have a Bella Balm (all natural bath and body bar); Bella Hand Wash (gets even the toughest grime off and leave hands so soft); Bella Buns (cinnamon bun shaped candles that smell, well, like cinnamon buns!); Bella’s Bakery (candles shaped and scented like actual pies); and car air fresheners in some of our most popular scents.

Our 16 oz. Jar Candle - most popular scents are Sweet Orange & Chili Pepper, Hot Apple Pie, Angel Wings, and Sex On The Beach (yep, smells like the drink!)
What is your favorite thing about your company?
The ‘family’ feeling I get from everybody, including the CEO and VP of the company. That there are no monthly quotas or huge start up costs - and the candles are phenomenal!

We have three start up packages. You can get started for as low as 49.95! There are no additional expenses or yearly renewal fees.
What comes in the start up kit?
We have three starter kits available:
#1 is 49.95
#2 is 169.90
#3 is 399.90The larger starter kit has over 800.00 in retail products so you can get started right away with putting money in your pocket. The middle starter kit has several products to start with and will get you well on your way. The smaller starter kit has a 16 oz.jar candle, 6 Apple Pie votives, a Bella Bar, Foaming Hand Wash and 50 catalogs.
How much is the commission on personal sales and downline?
We have 8 levels to earn commission on. You earn 10% on your first level; 5% on levels 2-5; 10% on level 6; and 5% on levels 7 and 8. We also have a car bonus and a montly contest with the 1st place paying $4,000.00; 2nd place pays $1,500.00; 3rd place pays $1,000.00 and 4th place pays $500.00 - this is above and beyond the commission you earn!
What is the minimum sales requirements to stay active? Is it monthly, quarterly, etc?
We have no monthly sales quota. You’re free to build your business at your pace. The only requirement is the Candle of the Month program that is $39.95 per month and includes a jar candle, *12 votive candles, a Bella Bar and your personal website and back office. *you can get 2 jar candles instead of the 1 jar candle and the 12 votives.
How often does the catalog change?
We get new catalogs 2 or 3 times per year.
Discuss the company support for consultants?
The support is excellent! Our owners are active in the business and are completely accessible to all representatives at any time. Any question, comment or concern can be handled in a very short time by calling your sponsor or corporate or emailing the owners - they really do respond back!
What are some of the additional benefits/rewards consultants can earn?
We are coming out with some great new things in 2009! We already have an incredible compensation plan that pays on 8 levels, which is almost unheard of in this industry. We also have the car bonus and the monthly contest.
How often are consultants paid?
You are paid immediately when you sell products. Money goes right in your pocket on retail sales. Commissions and bonuses are paid monthly by the company.
