4 Ways to Recruit on the Web

in How to Get Recruits

home party recruiting

Building your team is typically a fast way to move up the ladder in a home party business.  To build that team, you need recruits.  But how do you find them?  Of course home parties is a great place to showcase how great and profitable your business is BUT the internet can also help you.  I built a team of almost 40 consultants and a many of them found me from the internet.  Here are a four ways you can recruit on the web…

Write a Blog

I have had an amazing response from my home party blog.  I post anything and everything about my home party business from monthly specials, sign up incentives, product suggestions and congratulations to new team members.  The key is to keep it current and write frequently.  You should write 3 times a week but at a minimum once a week.  You don’t need to write a lot but just write.  To see an example, you can visit my blog at http://thirtyonegifts-amy.blogspot.com.

The more posts you write about your home party business the higher you will rank in the search engines.  As an example, if you search for “thirty one gifts” in google (click here) you will see that I am ranked near the top of the first page!  In a future post I will get into more detail as to how I was able to pull this off.

Get Active on Message Boards

This is a great place to meet potential recruits as well as get advice from other consultants.  When I was looking for a new home party business, that’s exactly what I did.  Poke around the message boards to see what’s new, ask questions and build relationships. Be sure to post comments and give advice on lots of topics.  Don’t forget to put your website link in your signature so others can contact you with more questions.  My favorite message board is www.wahm.com

Try Facebook, MySpace and Twitter

These are all great resources for building your business.  Create a Facebook group and invite your friends to join. Talk about your new home party business on Twitter. Let people know how much you love it and how successful you are.  Mention a great party you just had or how you are excited about the new product line.   You never know but it may just be exactly what one of your friends is looking for but you didn’t want to be pushy.  This way they are hearing about it but you don’t feel intrusive.

Get Your Name in Directories

And of course the best directory is the one here at www.HomePartyReview.com ;-)  (click here to get listed on my blog!).  Basically you need to get your name out there on the web.  Post your contact information everywhere you possibly can and be sure to put a link to your blog. You may need to spend a little money but in the long run, it’s usually worth it.

Try everything.  Get your name out there.  The more people see your name, the more likely they are going to sign up with YOU.  Good luck.

Have any online recruiting suggestions, please post in the comment section below.  I’d love to hear from you.
